Unveiling the Next Chapter: Meet Stacey Holmes, Newly Elected President of KAECE

We are thrilled to announce a new chapter for the Kentucky Association for Early Childhood Education (KAECE) with Stacey Holmes as our new president! Stacey is set to lead our organization with her extensive experience and passion for early childhood education.

Having been a vital part of KAECE for the past three years in her role as the Vice President of Membership, Stacey has worked along side outgoing President, Dr. Maria Rutherford, and knows the mission of KAECE and is passionate about the role with which she has been entrusted. Her deep understanding makes her an excellent fit for this crucial role. As she embarks on a three-year term, we are excited to see her innovative ideas and initiatives come to life.

A Passion for Early Childhood Education

Stacey brings over 20 years of experience in early childhood education to KAECE. Her journey began with a strong belief in the lasting impact educators have on children's lives. Stacey has professionally served in the classroom as a teacher, later gaining administrative experience as a child care center director and currently serves as a CDA instructor. This experience has afforded her a wide range of perspective and understanding of the challenges early childhood educators face. Throughout her career, she has focused on creating welcoming environments that empower children to learn and grow, as well as empowering educators to do the same.

A Vision for KAECE

When asked about her vision for KAECE, Stacey expressed, "I believe Early Childhood Educators can shape the next generation of society's leaders. With KAECE uniting and equipping educators, the possibilities are endless."

This belief highlights her eagerness to tap into the collective strength of educators across Kentucky. Under her leadership, KAECE will continue its mission of being a beacon of support, collaboration, and professional development for early childhood professionals in the state.

Stacey recognizes the challenges educators face today, especially after recent global events. Her focus will be on improving the resources available through KAECE, ensuring that members have access to relevant training and tools tailored to their needs.

Welcome, Stacey!

As we look ahead, we invite members of the KAECE community to join us in welcoming Stacey Holmes as our new president. Her experience, passion, and innovative vision promise to guide us toward a brighter future in early childhood education.

We encourage educators throughout Kentucky to engage in KAECE activities during Stacey’s tenure. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leader who understands the field's challenges and is dedicated to creating a supportive network.
